THE BUGATTI GALIBIER 16C CONCEPT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD
For the record, "Galibier" is the name of one of the most dangerous stretches of alpine roadway along the Tour de France.
Hmm, does it look like the awful Panamera, the Porsche sedan? I think not. It's not copying a car that came out in 2009, it's paying tribute to a 1937-45 car, the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, one of the most beautiful coupes ever made.
The production release is scheduled for 2012. It will share the monster 8.0-liter W-16 setup from the Veyron, but with twin supercharges in place of the quad-turbos.
In addition, a new 8-speed transmission is rumored to be replacing the 7-speed DSG.
The Bugatti Galibier 16C will cost $1.6 million dollars.
