APOLLON COMMIT SUICIDE, AEL WIN TO SNATCH 4TH SPOT
Helio Roque was the unlikely hero as he scored the only hat-trick of his career as AEL Limassol came from behind to beat Pegeia 1-3.
Gaston Sangoy was the villain for Apollon FC as he missed a penalty in the closing stages to seal the game for his team. Paulo Vogt scored in the dying seconds to pile up the misery and give APEP a precious point.
Now both AEL and Apollon are going to their last 2 fixtures on level points with AEL having the advantage with 2 wins in 2 games over local rivals Apollon.
AEL are hosting strugglers Paralimni and then going away to Larnaca to play Alki who are also in the dropping zone.
Apollon are going away to Nicosia to play Doxa and then host on-form Ethnikos at Tsirio.
