A first look at the latest Pro Evolution Soccer 2012.
Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka , Creative Producer of the Pro Evolution Soccer series, talks about new gameplay features and reveals first footage of PES 2012.
PES 2010 has got some good music! Previous games of the series also had some good tunes but this time the game creators saw sense and paid much more attention to music. Here's the game's track list.
I just downloaded the PES 2010 demo and had a few games.
There are 6 teams in the demo. Club Teams : Barcelona, Liverpool National Teams: Germany, Italy, Spain and France
Graphics: The pitch looks amazing. You can make out the different patches and shades of green. The player faces look more realistic. Also the movement feels more natural on goal celebrations. There are 2 stadiums. Liverpool's Anfield and the fictional Ville Marie stadium. People on the stands are decent looking. Previous PES versions suffered from lag when the ball was close to the spectators but now this seems solved.
Speed: There were rumors of the game being slower but I can assure you that it felt even quicker. The ball runs downs the pitch smoothly and the players are racing up and down not looking heavy.
Scoring: I didn't find scoring being that hard . It's your usual one-on-one situation where you have to beat the keeper. So shooting at the right time did the trick. There was however a slight pause when you pulled the trigger to shoot and the ball was flying towards goal immediately afterwords. But this being the demo I understand it is going to be fixed.
Gameplay: This is no PES2009. So it's gonna take a while for everything to "click" and enjoy the game. The five-minute gameplay of the Demo does not help at all.
Tactics: The layout is different and there are more things to tweak. I didn't bother changing anything though so I can't comment on this one. Tricks: These are the new tricks available. I couldn't do the "forward tap" where you push the ball by pressing -> twice. Instead the player steps on the ball and does a little trick.
Overall: I was impressed by the new looks. I am not so sure that the king is back gameplay-wise. At times it feels arcadey. Anyway the demo was too short for me to have a clear view and I need someone to play against with.
After mastering resizing, different layers and transparent features I finally managed to create 2 decent pictures that you can apply on your AEL and Apollon jerseys on PES2009. Note that these are not the final products as the new AEL shirts are not unveiled yet.
1. Unrar and Copy MUSIC folder to flash drive. 2. Go to music on PS3 and select USB device. 3. Copy all chants over. 4. Create a playlist entitled KONAMI_PES with CAPITAL letters. NOTE: Watch the spaces because the PS3 adds a space after the word "KONAMI_PES". So delete that space. 5. Add all chants to playlist. 6. Enter game, go to edit mode, edit team and cheering stance. You should find your chants there. Choose one for the respective team.

NOTE 1. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT NOTE OF ALL: IF YOU ARE PROMPTED WITH THE MESSAGE 'LOAD DATA FROM A DIFFERENT VERSION', YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE KONAMI 1.30 UPDATE. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE UPDATE AND ARE STILL PROMPTED, GO TO SETTINGS (IN-GAME) AND CLICK 'DOWNLOAD')
NOTE 2: If you are prompted to save the option file just as the game loads up, click no. Then go into edit mode and load the data. THEN save the data right after. If you already clicked yes and saved at the start when prompted, you will have to copy the 'edit data' file from your flash drive again Credits: Mike - For the base file to build on (PESFan) heatuk10, trilogy, brownus and arsenald - A lot of the English badges and sponsers (PESGaming) shandogg - Most chants (PESFan)
